The Challenge

Because Tissue Source’s website had few non-branded keyword rankings, we had to be careful about what content we placed on their site. The wrong terms could lead their content to being miscategorized by search engines, which would do more harm than good in the long run.

In fact during our research, we found several of their competitors with keywords related to bbq pork recipes and how to raise backyard pigs — not the customers that Tissue Source had in mind for their specialized products.

The Strategy

To make sure Tissue Source’s website showed up for terms relevant to their customers, we created a blog to target relevant keywords. In the first three months, we:

  • Did extensive competitor analysis and keyword research to find topics that would drive traffic but also establish authority and expertise in the correct search intent
  • Created a new blog for their website including six keyword-related articles
  • Submitted indexing requests to insure timely crawling and indexing of new pages on Google

Within the first 90 days Tissue Source started ranking for keywords within their niche, and their organic traffic started to increase. But most importantly, all the keywords they rank for are relevant to the clients they’re targeting, and not irrelevant traffic that won’t help them grow.
