STEVEN SAUDER

STEVEN SAUDER

Steven’s vision for HustleFish was spawned during his time in the startup world in Los Angeles. Under his guidance, a lean, mean team of creatives and developers launched several projects including a cookbook app and grocery delivery service (just before it became cool), and a vinyl record subscription service; the team even prototyped and produced a bluetooth enabled turntable that integrated with a users Spotify to integrate their analog experience in a digital world. When the team wasn’t working on their own projects, they were operating as a development agency for household names like Vimeo, Roku, and Butterball Turkey. Steven’s impressive background in development gives him the expertise to lead our team of developers on a variety of projects from websites (WordPress, Craft, Shopify, etc.) to applications (iOS, Android, React Native, etc.)

TYLER KNOCHEL

TYLER KNOCHEL

Tyler’s background is full of all things creative marketing. As an art director in an internal marketing role, he’s had experience leading incredible creatives on a huge variety of projects, from websites for global brands, to videos with the 2nd largest egg producer in the United States. Tyler’s breadth of experience helps HustleFish find the best creative talent for any project. He brings a unique and important perspective to the agency, making sure that the needs of the client are always first and foremost. His experience working with and coordinating marketing/creative agencies who weren’t truly serving the client’s best interest makes him passionate about making sure HustleFish is a different agency experience for clients.

MATT ADAMS

MATT ADAMS

Every team needs a strategist, and lucky for us, Matt Adams is a master tactician. Whether he’s planning a new client project or showing us the latest board game, his willingness to learn and experiment has played a part in him becoming Director of Operations here at HustleFish.
Matt originally wanted to be a graphic designer, but hopped behind the scenes and learned how to build websites too. From there, he expanded his toolset from development to project management. He has worked on everything from simple websites to intricate app builds and led teams along the way.
As our Director of Operations, Matt is the steady force that guides projects to the finish line. He ensures our clients’ needs are met with custom websites that are beautiful, functional, and elevate their online presence. His favorite projects are those that push us to overcome challenges and find smart solutions to solve real-world problems.
Outside the office, Matt is a professed collector of hobbies; you might find him doing any number of things, including biking, woodworking, cooking, or building legos. His favorite way to top off the day? Making a Torani Orange Cream Sodastream soda and enjoying time with his family.
We’d say it doesn’t get much better than that.

TYLER HOERR

TYLER HOERR

Usually, there is a massive divide between a developer (someone who is left-brained, technical, loves to dig into code) and a designer (someone who is right-brained, wacky, creative, able to breathe life into a project and create light from darkness). Somehow, Tyler is able to wear either hat interchangeably. His creative brain is able to envision the best user experience that provides the “wow” factor our clients are looking for, without sacrificing clarity and ease of use. As a developer, he makes writing code look simple, pulling lines of complex javascript and PHP out of his hat as if it were no more than a rabbit.

HOLLY BUCKEL

HOLLY BUCKEL

Holly is a highly skilled project manager at HustleFish. With a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion. Her expertise lies in her ability to effectively communicate with clients, setting clear expectations and solving problems along the way.
With meticulous organization and attention to detail, Holly ensures that every project she undertakes runs like a well-oiled machine. She expertly navigates through the complexities of web development, coordinating with designers and developers to bring clients’ visions to life. Her exceptional communication skills enable her to build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and guiding them through the project journey.

TED McGINNESS

TED McGINNESS

If the HustleFish crew has a common thread, it’s having a roundabout (and interesting) path to their current position on our team. For Ted, his journey started somewhere decidedly unrelated to technology: teaching physical education.
Luckily for us, Ted’s desire to learn web development eventually won out, and he jumped headfirst into coding. But he hasn’t completely left behind his penchant for team building. In fact, he finds working around a diverse team helps him level up his own skills. Whether he’s bringing graphic designers’ vision to life or learning from other developers, Ted always finds a way to bring more to the table.
As a Support Developer here at HustleFish, Ted enjoys solving problems for our clients. He believes our team’s biggest goal is client happiness, and takes the time to understand their needs before developing a solution. Learning something new or solving an old problem in a new way is his favorite part of the job, and it’s clear he brings that joy to every project he works on.
In his off time, Ted enjoys hanging out with his wife and their young son or playing the latest game on PlayStation.

SIMON PARK

SIMON PARK

Like many on our team, Simon Park’s path to HustleFish has gone through a few unexpected places. But if there’s a common thread through his experience, it’s clear that Simon’s passion lies in making a positive impact on the world around him.
Simon dabbled in several fields before his current position, but eventually found his way into software engineering. Friends recommended he consider the career move, so he jumped in and was immediately hooked. Three months of self-studying led him to pursuing a degree and eventually landing a job here with us.
As a React Developer at HustleFish, Simon builds and customizes the user interfaces of clients’ websites and apps. His experience working with others may be why his favorite projects are ones that have an impact on people’s lives. To Simon, the best projects provide value to our clients while helping bridge the gap to their customers.
When he comes out from behind the keyboard, Simon can be found seeking out new food to try with friends or working out at the gym. He and his wife love to travel, and recently adopted a Bernedoodle named Waffles.

PEDRO FUENTES

PEDRO FUENTES

Pedro Fuentes epitomizes the soul of an artist; he pursues his passions with vigor while taking time to explore the world around him. If you’ve ever doubted whether web design can be art, wait until he gets his hands on your website.
Pedro has always loved drawing, and often takes inspiration from his favorite superheroes or manga characters. While he originally set out to be a comic book illustrator, he later shifted his focus to graphic design and web development. His versatility makes him invaluable to the HustleFish team; he knows his way around a sketchbook, but also knows code and has built a PC from scratch.
As one of our support developers, Pedro makes sure clients’ websites do more than just perform — they inspire. Website redesigns are his favorite projects to work on, and his eye for design and technical skills combine to create jaw-dropping results. Web development currently takes up most of his time, but Pedro hopes to add more graphic design to his responsibilities in the future.
In his off time Pedro enjoys tasty cuisine, whether that’s hunting down the latest taco truck or finding the perfect microbrew to pair with a Bahn Mi. He also likes 70s kung fu movies and hanging out with his girlfriend and their three pets.

ASHLEY JOHNSON

ASHLEY JOHNSON

Ashley Johnson has always believed that if you’re supposed to write what you know, you should know something interesting. She’s never been one to turn down an adventure, and her unique background brings a wealth of insight (and color) to HustleFish’s copy efforts.
While she always wanted to write, life had other plans: Ashley spent 12 years flying airplanes for the Air Force before trading her wings in for a pen. Now in her second career as a writer, she loves the challenge of crafting copy that makes a lasting impression.
Ashley believes everyone gets into their line of work for a reason, and as our team’s Copywriter she enjoys translating the stories about our clients and their businesses into compelling copy. She thinks what sets HustleFish apart is our willingness to be bold and have fun when designing and developing websites.
When she’s not at work, Ashley can usually be found in her sewing room or having fun with her husband and son. As recent a transplant to the Pacific Northwest, she loves to hike, explore nearby state and national parks, and find new favorite restaurants.
